This two-sheet map depicts the "Theater of War" towards the beginning of the War of the Spanish Succession in Portugal and parts of Spain. The map extends east as far as Madrid and Toledo, and includes details of roads, political boundaries, archbishoprics, universities, and towns of various sizes, with large towns depicted as miniature bird's-eye plans. Each sheet stands on its own with a title and complete borders.

Original color with a few minor spots of soiling and a hint of toning along centerfold. The northern sheet has a professionally repaired centerfold separation that enters 4" into map at bottom, and the southern sheet has a small hole along the centerfold in northern Africa.
