This handsome map is approximately centered on Berlin, showing portions of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg, and northwestern Poland. The map extends west to Schwerin, south to Magdeburg (here called Wittenberg), and east to Koszalin, Poland. Dozens of towns are depicted as miniature castles. The map is adorned with two strapwork cartouches and a stippled sea. Latin text on verso, published between 1585-95. This is the rare first edition of this map.
