This is a handsome bird's-eye plan of Solomon's Temple, oriented to the west. The Temple is shown inside the walls of the city, with the gates identified. Various rooms are named, including the "Men's Court," the altar, the porch, the chambers, and the treasuries. The plan is surrounded by putti holding drapes featuring the title in Dutch and Latin, as well as a scale of "Roman cubits." This is a Dutch edition based on Thomas Fuller's The Temple as it was in Christe Time, first published in A Pisgah-Sight of Palestine in 1650. Fuller's rendering of Solomon's Temple was copied and republished for 100 years.
