A decorative map of Tahiti and Moorea, with the Marquesas shown in an inset. The map is filled with native names for regions on the island, with information taken from Captain Cook's explorations of the islands. A peaceful landscape scene with natives lounging on the shore accents the cartouche. Printed at the Calcografia Camerale in Rome.

Attractive color and wide margins with a few spots of foxing and two short fold separations confined to far blank margins. There is moderate toning on verso only.
