This superb map depicts the region surrounding Nimes, extending west to Sauve, east to Tarascon, north to the Gardon River, and south to the Mediterranean. Villages, roads, castles, ponds, canals and more are depicted. Surrounding the map are several additional images, including the Roman Amphitheater of Nimes, the Maison Carree, and putti holding aloft a drape with a bird's-eye plan of Nimes.
