Centered on Nuremberg with the surrounding countryside pictorially presented. The map is decorated with a large title cartouche surmounted by the trumpeting, female representation of Fame. The cartouche is composed of engraving and book binding tools representing the major trade of Nuremberg. At right is a large inset plan of the city with a key to the major buildings. French text on verso.

A nice impression with attractive color on watermarked paper. There is faint offsetting, an extraneous crease adjacent to centerfold, and some light damp stains in bottom blank margin. The pale blue shadow that appears along the centerfold is caused by our scanner and does not appear on the map itself.
