This handsome map depicts the northwestern portion of the Lombardy region, centered on the numerous lakes in the area. Milan appears as a miniature bird's-eye plan at bottom right, while Como, Angera and Vogogna are depicted as miniature castles. The map is adorned with a pillar-shaped distance scale and a strapwork title cartouche flanked by a fisherman and a hunter. Dutch text on verso, published between 1649-64.

Condition: A

A dark impression with light printer's ink residue, attractive color, and a short centerfold separation in bottom blank margin. There are remnants of hinge tape on verso.
