A. Nova et Accurata Tusciae Antiquae Descriptio Auctore Ab. Ortelio, by Tipografia del Seminario, dated 1696 (18.9 x 13.4"). This attractive map of ancient Tuscany is based on Ortelius’ map that was in turn based on Bellarmati's map supplemented by classical sources. It is very detailed and includes the coastal islands. The map locates the major Etruscan and Roman settlements and the Roman roads. Decorated by a floral title cartouche and a 32-point compass rose. Condition: Wide margins with light scattered foxing and a few faint extraneous creases. (B+)

B. Les Evesches de Trente, et de Brixen, le Comte de Tirol, et les Etats de la Republique de Venise dans le Fond du Golfe, by Nicolas de Fer, dated 1705 (13.8 x 9.9"). This is a very detailed map of northeastern Italy showing the duchies of Trient, Brixen and the Republic of Venice with their neighboring territories. It provides information on the topography, rivers, forests, castles, abbeys, cities and villages. Condition: A dark impression with light toning and a few stains mostly in the top right corner of the sheet. (B)
