Centered on the ancient city of Spoleto, this map covers the region of Umbria in Italy. Its cartography is based on the work of Giovanni Antonio Magini. Several towns and cities are identified (including Perugia and Orvieto), and there is excellent topographical detail. Parts of neighboring regions appear as well. The decorative title cartouche at top right features allegorical figures and a cow beneath a rainbow. At bottom left there is another cartouche topped by two studious putti that houses the distance scales.
