This rare set of Spanish maps is from the second edition of Portulano de la America Setentrional... and depicts portions of the eastern coastline of Florida from St. Augustine to Amelia Island. The maps are finely engraved to illustrate the topography of the coast and the water is shown with sailing channels, soundings and anchorages. Engraved above neatline at top is Florida Oriental, and the engraver's initials TG are imprinted directly below the bottom neatline.
