This lovely view depicts Caracas, Venezuela's largest city. Based on a drawing by Joseph Thomas, it shows the city against the backdrop of the mountains. A few human figures, a couple of cows, and a crucifix are on the hillside in the foreground. Seventeen sites of interest are located, including the Caracas Cathedral and various other churches. Drawn on stone by W. Wood and printed and published by Ackermann & Co.
