This beautiful map covers Russia, Scandinavia, Poland and the Baltic States with pictorial indications of topography and forests. A large inset details the countryside northwest of Moscow. The map is beautifully engraved in Mercator's distinctive style with stippled seas and a strapwork cartouche. French text on verso, published between 1628-33.
