This splendid sea chart covers the Barents Sea coast from Finland to Nova Zemla with north oriented to the left. The chart is embellished with compass roses, sailing ships, whaling scenes, and an incredible title cartouche featuring a scene of men fighting bears and sea monsters.

References:

Condition: B+

A nice impression with original outline color, light soiling, and a few short separations along the centerfold, which have been closed on verso with archival materials. There are damp stains and short edge tears confined to the blank margins.
