This map of the regions surrounding the Black and Caspian Seas was created to illustrate the account of Anthony Jenkinson's expeditions to Russia. Jenkinson was sent on four expeditions to Russia on behalf of the Muscovy Company to explore routes to Central Asia and China. Jenkinson's route from Moscow to Bukhara (Boghar) is illustrated, and the Caspian Sea is depicted with a round shape. Illustrated with a decorative title cartouche. This map was published in van der Aa's compilation of early voyages of exploration.
