This large map of Queensland was compiled and drawn by H.W. Fox of the Geological Survey Office in Brisbane. A key beneath the title names and color codes the various geological features identified on the map. An extensive list of minerals, ranging from anthracite to zircons, are located as well. A table at top catalogs the gold and mineral fields with their dates of proclamation, and coal fields are named. The map is embellished by a decorative fleur-de-lis and the emblem of the Geological Survey Office. Printed at the Government Printing Office in Brisbane.
