This is the original, two-volume 1921 edition. It is considered the classic text on globes, from the earliest through the end of the 18th Century. Hardbound in original burgundy publisher's cloth with gilt title on spine. Volume I, 218 pp; Volume II, 291 pp. The volumes are illustrated with 143 photographic and facsimile plates, many full page. An essential reference book for any globe collector.
