Mercator's World magazine was founded by Edward Aster and published 44 issues from 1996-2003. The publication is an authoritative reference resource with many articles and illustrations covering a wide range of topics about antique maps, mapmakers, and exploration as well as modern mapmaking. This lot includes the entire 44 issue series. Each volume is housed in its own slipcase, with the exception of the two from volume 8 which are included in the slipcase with volume 7. These are the original elegant faux-leather red slipcases that have "Mercator's World" in gilt on the spines.
