This crisp engraving shows the extensive rail terminus at Locust Point in Baltimore. A large grain elevator at center is surrounded by numerous tracks and cars with scores of boats on the Patapsco River in the background. The verso contains the Map of Railroads Owned, Operated & Controlled by the Balto & Ohio R.R. Co. (13.2 x 6.6"), with rail lines stretching west to Pittsburgh and Chicago and south to Salem and Danville, Virginia.
