This scare pocket map shows the counties in a rich, lovely outline color, and has an additional section at right titled "Stage, Canal, and Steam-Boat Register, &c." with distance tables and other information. There are two profiles: "Profile of the Grand Erie Canal" and an unnamed profile of the Champlain Canal. The map covers are not present.

Issued folding on thin, banknote-style paper with light offsetting and scattered foxing. There are several short splits at fold intersections and a few larger separations in the text to the right of the map image. A 4" edge tear at left has been repaired on verso with old paper.
