This large chart of present day Haiti and the Dominican Republic was completed for the French Admiralty. The coastline includes the locations of settlements, forts, reefs, safe harbors, and fresh water, while the interior is filled with mountainous terrain, rivers, roads, the locations of plantations and notes. This is a Depot de la Marine issue, with the engraved stamp and the price of trente sols at bottom right.

Condition: A

A nice impression and attractive color on sturdy, watermarked paper with minor offsetting. The slight blue shadow along the centerfold is caused by our scanner, and does not appear on the map itself.
