This is a great little miniature map of "Island" with scenes of whaling in the sea between Iceland and Greenland and a raging naval battle in the foreground. The map was based on the work of Gerard Mercator and Johannes Blaeu. Blank verso. From the German edition of Manesson-Mallet's Description de l'Univers.
