This miniature map covers the Russian Empire in Eastern Europe and is embellished with a strapwork title cartouche. The map extends north to include the tip of Nova Semla, and south to the Black and Caspian Seas, which are depicted with rudimentary shapes. The geography is limited to key cities and rivers. The majority of the maps for Bertius' geographical treatise were engraved by Jodocus Hondius Jr. after Mercator. French text on verso.

Condition: B+
A nice impression with attractive color, a hint of toning, and light show-through of text on verso.
