Two maps on one sheet showing Burma and Thailand, and the Malay Peninsula to Sumatra. The map of Burma and northern Thailand shows the mythical Lac de Chiamai with five great rivers issuing from it. Each map is adorned with a lovely title cartouche. This is the first state, engraved by A. Peyrounin.
This map was deaccessioned from the Universitat und Landesbibliothek Sachsen-Anhalt in 2010. Documentation is available upon request.

Condition: A
A crisp impression with original outline color and later color in the cartouches, and minor printer's ink residue. There are library stamps in the top corners of the sheet on verso, confined to the blank margins. There is a faint shadow along the centerfold that is caused by our scanner and does not appear on the map itself.
