Beautiful and uncommon map of Indonesia showing the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java and Borneo. The islands are very detailed and have many place names noted, including Sincapura (Singapore), Bali, Flores and more. Graced with a beautiful, fruit-garlanded title cartouche. This is the first state, engraved by A. Peyrounin.
This map was deaccessioned from the Universitat und Landesbibliothek Sachsen-Anhalt in 2010. Documentation is available upon request.

Condition: A
A crisp impression with original outline color and later color in the cartouche. There are library stamps in the top corners of the sheet on verso, confined to the blank margins. There is a faint blue shadow along the centerfold that is caused by our scanner and does not appear on the map itself.
