A. Geological Reconnaissance Map of Nevada South of the 40th Parallel and Adjacent California Compiled from All Available Information (23.6 x 21.8"). This detailed map covering the Lake Tahoe region and Nevada is color-coded to identify 13 different geological units. Las Vegas is simply shown as “Las Vegas P.O.” on the “old California and Salt Lake Road.” “Disappointment Springs” appears to be in the general vicinity of Area 51. Compiled by J.E. Spurr and lithographed by A. Hoen & Co. in Baltimore. Condition: A clean and brightly colored example with one extraneous crease at lower left. Issued folding.
