This detailed chart depicts the Bay of Cardenas, about 75 miles to the east of Havanna. Includes coastal features, soundings, shoals, anchorages, coastal islands and lighthouses. The chart was surveyed by the commanders of the ships Ligera and Clarita in 1831. Engraved by Carrafa and edged with red silk. Spanish sea charts are rare on the market.
