This striking map covers central Italy including the Papal States and the Duchy of Tuscany. The map is densely engraved with information; the cities of Rome, Florence, Bologna and Ferrara are prominently depicted. The dramatic title cartouche represents the Papacy with symbols of the Catholic church.

References:

Condition: B+

Full original color in the map with later coloring in the cartouche, minor soiling, light toning along the centerfold at bottom, and two small worm holes in image. There are professional repairs to several worm tracks and a small chip in bottom blank margin.
