This interesting promotional plate features a small map showing the path of the newly completed Panama Canal. The plate was made "compliments of Gately, Fitzgerald & Co." in Erie, Pennsylvania in time for Christmas 1914, a short four months after the opening of the canal. The map is surrounded by two American flags and a monthly calendar.
