Small map of Turkey showing major cities and rivers and extending to include Cyprus. It is decorated with a nice strapwork title cartouche. This is the second state of Sanson's map of Turkey, which had previously been included in his small atlas of Europe.

Condition: A

Original outline color with later color in the cartouche and wide margins. There is minor offsetting and a hint of toning along the centerfold. There are library stamps in the top corners of the sheet on verso, which show through on recto and are confined to the blank margins. This map was deaccessioned from the Universitat und Landesbibliothek Sachsen-Anhalt in 2010. Documentation is available upon request.
