This imaginary bird's-eye plan depicts ancient Jerusalem from the time of David until its destruction by the Romans. A key below the plan identifies numerous locations. Although the title and key are in French, the place names on the plan are in Latin, in order to make the map readable to those who are not versed in French. The plan is believed to have been published in the late 16th or early 17th century in a bible, for the understanding of the III Chapter of Nehemia's Book. A very scarce plan; we were not able to find any dealer or auction listings of this map in the last 35 years.

A nice impression with attractive color, light soiling and a professionally repaired tear in bottom blank margin. There are a few tiny repaired tears along an extraneous horizontal crease.
