This lovely bird's-eye view shows the city of Jamestown, New York in the western part of the state. The view depicts the streets and buildings in the town, with 15 locations numbered and identified in a key below. Below the view are depictions of two steamers in Chautaqua Lake and Union School. There is no publisher attribution, but a larger and more developed view of Jamestown by J.J. Stoner was issued in 1882 when the city was establishing itself as the "Furniture Capital of the World."
