A copper engraved Revolutionary War plan shows Providence and Newport with the British fleet offshore and the various military positions throughout the area. The map locates towns and villages, roads, and the college (Brown). Distance scale below title indicates a scale of approximately 2 miles per inch. Elegant fleur-de-lis lies at right.

Issued folding with uneven toning and staining. Narrow margins at top and left, as issued. There are some chips in bottom blank margin.
