Charming little map of the island. The interior is filled with anthill style mountains and the stippled engraved sea is teeming with sea monsters, mermaids and ships. It is further embellished with a title cartouche and a compass rose. Finely engraved by Girolamo Porro of Padua and published in the rare 1686 edition in which the maps were printed separately from the text.
