This handsome chart of Derbyshire identifies Sheffield, Derby, Ashfield and hundreds of smaller towns and villages. The title is contained in an elaborate strapwork cartouche topped with the Royal coat of arms. The map is further embellished with a large compass rose and a distance scale with the imprint of Saxton and Hole below. Published in the 1637 edition of Camden's Britannia, with the addition of a plate number on the map.
