This small but handsome map of northern Italy centers roughly on Milan and Lake Como. The map is filled with details of towns, roads, and topographical details, including the Po River system. The title cartouche features Mars, the Roman god of war, and Ceres, the Roman goddess of agriculture and the harvest. Drawn by Albrecht Karl Seutter and engraved by Tobias Conrad Lotter.
