This second volume (of twenty-one) of the Maryland Geological Survey provides additional information to the first volume regarding the physical features of the state of Maryland. It is divided into three parts: administrative reports, the building and decorative stones of Maryland, and the report of the cartography of Maryland. This last section was authored in part by Henry Gannett of the Geological Survey, and is based in large part on USGS Monograph XXII. 509 pages with 48 plates of illustrations including two large folding maps. Hardbound in green cloth with gilt title and illustration on front cover.
