This highly uncommon miniature map centers on the estuary where the Rio de la Plata meets the Atlantic Ocean. Originally engraved for a geographical playing card set, the map was re-engraved to appear in Seller's pocket atlas for young students. It identifies several towns, cities, rivers and lakes, including Buenos Aires and the Parana River. A table at right lists place names.
