This uncommon sea chart features all nine islands of the Azores: Isla de Cuervo, Isla de Flores, Isla Fayal, Island de San Jorge, Isla del Pico, Isla Graciosa, Isla Tercera, Isla de San Miguel, and Isla de Sta. Maria. Each island is depicted with fine topographical detail and with plenty of place names along the coasts. Anchorages, hazards, and scattered soundings appear around the islands as well. The tiny Las Hormigas are shown to the northeast of Santa Maria. There is a decorative title cartouche at bottom left that includes starfish and seashells. Drawn by Bauza, engraved by F. Selma, with lettering by J. Assensio.

A nice impression on watermarked paper with scattered manuscript notations, most in pencil, moderate soiling that is largely concentrated on the far right side of the sheet, and a few light stains including a damp stain that enters the neatline at top right.
