An early map of Switzerland with north oriented at the bottom of the chart. The map was based on the work of Aegidius Tschudi, a historian of the Swiss Confederation. The title is engraved onto the top of an unusual three dimensional title box. Latin text on verso.

Condition: A

A dark impression with attractive color on watermarked paper. There is minor toning along the centerfold at top and some creases along the edges of the sheet, well away from image.
