This handsome map of the environs of the Black Sea in classical times is filled with ancient place names and titled also in Greek. It is based on Ortelius' map of the same title. Petrus Kaerius engraved the map and ornamented it with sailing ships and a decorative title cartouche. Blank verso.

Condition: A

A nice example with very wide margins, a tiny hole in the title cartouche, and a couple of insignificant spots.
