This fine map draws on the cartography of Sanson and Delisle with new information to present a detailed view of the continent with a great many tribal names. The source of the Nile is located in Lake Dambea. The title is enclosed in a fine cartouche engraved by Gobin that shows a queen reclining against an elephant with a lion curled at her feet. The map was engraved by Delahaye. This state does not appear in Norwich or Pedley and does not include any credentials after Robert de Vaugondy's name or a date.
