This very rare and dramatic title page depicts Hercules leaning on a globe, with a five-headed Hydra behind him. Hercules has apparently just slain a three-headed giant and another giant. A crowned eagle flies overhead with a banner with the Latin motto "Te Fautore Te Duce" (your patron will guide you). This frontispiece appeared in Nicolosi's Dell' Hercole e Studio Geografico, Italy's first atlas of the world.
