This fascinating map was issued shortly after the United States' entry into World War I. Likely issued as a supplement to a French newspaper/magazine, it was intended to inform and excite the French public about the Allies' newest member. The map itself is very basic but shows natural resources and two transcontinental railroads meant to convey the material resources that the United States could bring to the effort. A table at right also lists some of the country's key assets including soldiers, ammunition, corn, gasoline and ships. Above the map image is a quote from President Woodrow Wilson stating "we are brothers in the same cause." Printed by G. Delattre in Paris.
