This double-page map is absolutely filled with details, including proposed railroad routes, trails, forts, etc. The map is adorned with three engraved vignettes: Fire on the Prairie; Spearing Fish; and Santa Fe from the Great Missouri Trail, which shows a joyous wagon train first sighting the town. Kansas is depicted just one year prior to achieving statehood, with county development restricted to the eastern portion. County development is current for 1860 in Missouri, just prior to the organization of Worth County. Decorative borders.
