A. West Indien oder die Americanischen Inseln nebst dem Mexicanischen Meerbusen nach den Neuesten Entdeckungen (13.6 x 8.8"). This densely filled, anonymous German map of the West Indies extends to cover parts of North America, Central America, and the northern coast of South America. Florida is divided between East and West, and the southern tip is an archipelago. Filled with coastal place names, shoals, hazards and notes. Condition: Issued folding with faint toning along the folds. (B+)

B. West Indies, by Thomas Jeffreys, from Thomas Salmon's A New Geographical and Historical Grammar, circa 1772 (11.6 x 7.1"). Handsome, small map of the West Indies and the Gulf of Mexico showing an oddly shaped Florida peninsula. The decorative title cartouche features a scene of the trade goods of the region. Ref: Sellers & Van Ee #1730. Condition: Issued folding on watermarked paper with two short fold separations closed on verso with linen and minor staining. (B)
