This unusual little plan of Paris shows the city after the floods crested on Christmas Day, December 25, 1740. The lightly shaded portions of the map indicate those areas that were under water. A table at lower left identifies 13 important sites in the city and are keyed to the map (all of which are under water). Engraved by "G.D."
