Based on the cartography of Johann Criginger (1521-1571), this fine map places Prague just north of center. It is boldly engraved in Ortelius' style; mountains and forests and hundreds of tiny villages are shown. Two sumptuous strapwork cartouches decorate the bottom. Latin text on verso.

Condition: A

Full original color on watermarked paper with marginal soiling and one tiny crack adjacent to centerfold at bottom that has been closed on verso with archival material.
