This incredibly detailed map of the Low Countries covers the region from Arras and Lille north to Utrecht and Leiden and east to Venlo and Bastogne. The map was engraved prior to the land reclamation in the Zuyder Zee, and a key below the decorative title cartouche identifies cities, boroughs, villages, castles, monasteries and forts. The map is decorated by a very large, elaborate battle scene between the English and Dutch - likely a reference to the Anglo-Dutch Wars that were occurring at the time of publication (1781-1810). Printed on four sheets and joined.
