This map of the Black Sea was made by Ortelius on the basis of modern information presented in Mercator's maps of Southeast Europe, as well as classical sources. It is embellished with strapwork title and scale cartouches. Latin text on verso, published in 1592.

A sharp impression with full original color, a printer's crease adjacent to centerfold, and marginal soiling.
