This fascinating folio sheet includes two plans and prospects of Gibraltar and Cadiz. The first plan shows the defenses in 1704, during the War of the Spanish Succession, when the British, under Admiral Rooke, took the Rock. The second shows the expanded defenses in 1727 when the Spanish attacked and instituted a lengthy siege. They suffered a huge defeat, losing 5000 men while the British lost only 300.

A nice impression with full original color, light printer's ink residue, and a few spots. There are some short edge tears, including a centerfold separation at top, that are confined to the blank margins.
